Description
Greenacre Park is a small-scale urban pocket park located in Upper East Side Manhattan in New York City. Attracting over 200,000 visitors annually, the park provides an intimate green refuge within a dense commercial district, demonstrating the value of micro-urban nature in dense built environments.
The design features a cascading waterfall over a granite wall, with water flowing into a narrow stream along the entrance, creating the soft sound of flowing water and improving cooling effects. Seating areas are arranged under honey locust trees and seasonal flowering vegetation, creating shaded microclimatic zones.
