Description
Pocket parks are small-scale public green spaces integrated into dense urban environments to improve liveability, microclimate regulation, and accessibility to nature.
Kypseli Pocket Park is one of several pocket park initiatives in Athens, serving as a green refuge within a highly compact urban district. The park features an environmentally friendly concrete pavement, a mix of evergreen and deciduous trees for seasonal shading, and benches constructed from recycled wood.
The lighting system incorporates advanced technology, including photovoltaic energy supply and digital monitoring panels that track environmental parameters such as temperature and humidity.
